Journal Entry from April of 2024. 📓

It’s amazing to see how much can change in a year. Though I’m no longer with that particular company mentioned in the entry, it was that experience that catapulted me to the opportunity I have today.

For those who are awaiting good news, and changes in your life, I hope this entry is a beacon of hope that better days do come. Faith and patience with acts of work is a potent alchemical mixture.

Keep your head up and trust in the timing.

Reading Alice Walker’s compilation of journals reminded me that I have so much in the arsenal when it comes to my own writing over the years. I’m a journaling girly. Every now and then I go back and catch nuggets from my past thoughts and to also see how much has changed in my life since it was entered. I’d like to share snippets from my own journal entries with you all.

This actually doesn’t even show the last recording session I did at a home studio to record some of the background vocals needed before I left for flight attendant training.

“The Empress Era” was born out of a beautifully painful part of my life (more on that writing process later) and the art that followed is nothing short of purposeful storytelling.

I plan to share more of the behind the scenes and creative process of my artistic journies, which turns out to be simultaneously deeply transformational 🪄.

Butterfly eyes 🦋 Do you ever get so used to seeing your facial features that you forget different aspects? I was rubbing at my beauty mark above my lip the other day because I forgot how naturally dark it is lol. It was like I was seeing them for the first time.

Just last week my voice was completely gone. Like, hardly a whisper was able to come out so while my voice isnt back to 100%, honey I’ll never take this voice for granted.

Track 1 LOVE LANGUAGE on The Empress Era is definitely a love song but it was written to myself. Of course the words can be applied to relationships outside of me however it has to start from within first. I’m so grateful for the time and commitment that I have poured into me. It’s a life-long romance, and beyond, that can only strengthen every other relationship I’m blessed to experience.
